A Ticket to Ride: Stories and Rhymes by Sue Wickstead
Tour by: Rachel’s Random Resources
Review:
This is another wonderful book of fun little rhymes and stories.
Perfect for little ones who love animals and buses.
The illustrations are beautifully drawn and add a spark of magic to each page.
As with Sue’s other books this is a wonderful blend of original stories, poems and rhymes alongside reworking a of traditional and well known ones.
A perfect way to encourage children to think of their own endings and rhymes and promote creativity.
A Ticket to Ride
Around the corner and up the hill,
Jumping off when the bus stops still.
Animals and friends hop on and off the bus as it travels through lands near and far, on special days and everyday afternoons.
On this journey, you can meet everything from cats and elephants to one very celebratory bee, telling jokes and adding their opinions. This collection of light-hearted poems and stories is perfect for a cosy afternoon with your own Nanny.
