The Nija books are so popular right now and we were delighted to have a copy of this latest instalment.
Read Like a Nija is a perfect book to support children and parents a like.
Little Bookworm has not let it go since it arrived. She’s 7 and going in to year 3 in September. She already loves reading but this book has been a fantastic addition for us. She attends a Welsh medium school so has not yet started learning to read or write in English yet. Whilst we speak both Welsh and English at home and I read English books to her she hasn’t really been taught it. This book has been a great introduction and will help her over the summer to prepare for starting English next term.
Her favourite section of the book has been the word lists. It’s been perfect for us to work through together as a family with her. More over the book lists are a great help as it’s a really good guide to books that may not be familiar choices or the ones you find on the supermarket shelves.
I would highly recommend the book to anyone looking to support their child on their reading journey.
