Killing Me Softly

 Killing Me Softly

I’m not sure I can fully find the words for this review. Killing Me Softly has been a book which I have genuinely enjoyed reading and reviewing. It has felt like an easy read (not an easy thing to achieve). There have been moments of pure laughter and enjoyment mixed with drama and suspense. The final two chapters took me in a whole new emotional direction. There was pure sadness and emotion and a sense of love that really hit home.

Jimmy is a loveable rogue who has found himself in a rather strange and somewhat difficult situation. Seemingly seeing out his career as a deadbeat failure in a third rate casino things take a rather surprising term for him. Things are looking up but at what cost?

Wendy has a sense of humour that won’t stop for anything (even death) and I just love her banter with Jimmy.

I don’t want to put any spoilers because truly this is a book worth reading. I’m already excited at the prospect of the second book in the trilogy. If you are interested in music, a good murder (in a book not real life) and a book that will have you laughing out loud them Killing Me Softly is definitely for you.

Thank you so much to Guy Hale and Love Book Tours for letting me in on this tour.
