Monster Max: This Time It’s Sirius

Monster Max - This Time it’s Sirius

By Robin Bennett

Illustrated by Tom Tinn-Disbury

Review:

As always Max and Peregrine find themselves on an adventure they hadn’t planned. Max and his family are no ordinary people - his mum is a wolf and he turns in to a monster when he burps. This can be helpful but somewhat chaotic. Always thought fun in the end!                         Having fled the fair off Krig Max’s mum is being hunted by Fanghorn. In this latest adventure he sends the Varkas pack to capture them. Things don’t turn out quite as planned for Fanghorn. Will there be a next adventure for Max and Peregrine? I hope so!

Monster Max is a brilliant series for young readers who are looking for comedy and adventure. Large illustrations break up the text making it a less overwhelming read. It is also a perfect read aloud book to share with children. Suitable for children approx 7+ (all the way to adults)

If you haven’t read the other books in the series then I recommend popping to your local library or bookshop now to grab copies. Max and Peregrine are an unlikely pair of super heroes just waiting to share their adventures.

Author Bio –

When Robin grew up he thought he wanted to be a cavalry officer until everyone else realised that putting him in charge of a tank was a very bad idea. He then became an assistant gravedigger in London. After that he had a career frantically starting businesses (everything from dog-sitting to cigars, tuition to translation)... until finally settling down to write improbable stories to keep his children from killing each other on long car journeys.

Robin plays most sports. Poorly.
