This is the first book in a wonderful series. If you like cosy crime then this book is definitely worth picking up. A cross between The Great British Sewing Bee and Midsomer Murders - this is a light hearted murder mystery that pulls you in.
When Penny moves back to Fram to help run her Grandmother’s sewing shop she couldn’t possibly imagine the adventure that she will end up on. Suddenly she finds herself and cousins Izzy on mission to solve two local deaths all whilst trying to stave off the attempts of Izzy to set her up with the local handyman.
The plot had me guessing right up until the end - I definitely had no idea who the real murderer was.
The character were well written. Penny and Izzy really complement each other and their interactions are funny and heartfelt. The rest of the characters are a real mix of small town key member all of whom have their own back story that I hope will be explored more in future books.
I’m already off to read the next book!
