Kind Hearts and Carrot Cake
By Rosie Green
For anyone who already loves the Little Duck Pond Cafe then you will fall even more when you read Jen’s story. If you are yet to visit the Little Duck Pond Cafe then pop on down and you won’t want to leave.
The story works well as a stand alone, however those who have read the trilogy of Clara’s will notice a few references that connect the two.
Jen’s story felt a little more serious than some previous ones. There was a definite feeling of reality to it - so many are struggling at the moment and lots of people who were financially secure are suddenly finding themselves in difficult situations. This story addresses this in a way that is sympathetic and true.
The characters are as always very well written and the way they develop as their story unfolds.
Rosie Green really has a talent for seeing peoples lives and conveying them to others in a way that pulls on your heart strings, brings joy and hope.
