Flicker’s Garden Rescue
By Jodie Parachini
Illustrated by Bryony Clarkson
Review:
Flicker’s Garden Rescue is a lovely story of team work and helping others. There’s also an educational element helping children to understand pollination and it’s role in ensuring we have food to eat.
The illustrations are bold, bright and full or texture that makes them come alive.
Flicker is a kind and helpful bug - through this book we can relate to wanting to help but also wanting to do our own thing more. We all feel that sometimes. But ultimately working together to get the job done means everyone gets to enjoy the end result.
A well told lesson for little ones that they are sure to enjoy.

Achoo! Queen Bee has the sneezies and is having trouble organizing this year’s pollination. Without pollen, the plants won’t be able to make the seeds and fruits for the annual Garden Party. Luckily, Flicker and her friends are on hand to save the day.
