Bold, bright and fun! 


This wonderful rhyming book has a beautiful rhythm that lets you dance as you read. Perfect for any fan of truck, diggers, construction or dancing. 


This really is a book for every child (and their big person) to enjoy. 


To start we thought the book was going in a different direction. Little Bookworm predicted Digby getting in trouble when his dancing lead to a disaster at the site. However, no a cautionary tale the book is 

filled with a message of making jobs fun ! Why not try to apply it to your everyday tasks at home - Can we dance while we tidy or sing when we clean? 


The illustrations are big and colourful (not too overwhelming) and the colours used really stood out. 


As an early years mum and teacher this book would be a perfect addition to a construction area or small world set up.

Although Digby enjoys building cities with his fellow trucks, he also loves to twirl and groove. Being true to both aspects of his personality will really shake things up at the construction site. The foreman may be gruff and scary, but dancing trucks can really get the job done!

DIG IT, DIGBY! targets all fans of truck/construction books, yet also pushes the boundaries of the typical ‘boy’ book genre. By incorporating dance, it challenges gender roles using nonhuman characters that all children can relate to. Told in joyous rhyme, DIG IT, DIGBY! is 360 words and has the lyricism of Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site and the stereotype-breaking ethos of Giraffes
