Why We Walk

 Why We Walk

By Siena

Illustrated by Shannon Wilvers

Review:

This is a lovely story about the bond between father and daughter with an added educational message.

A simple story that is easy for young children to understand and relate to. Perfect for encouraging us to walk more and protect the planet that they will inherit.

I really like the simplicity of this book. The language is understandable for young children and the bold, simple illustrations are perfect for capturing the essence of the story with out distractions.

Blurb:

Why We Walk

When we walk we see things that we would have missed if we drove. Things like birds, cats, & squirrels. When we walk we have fun spending time together. We talk and learn how walking can help to care for our planet. Join Siena and her dad as they walk to school and discover every little step counts.

This is the second book in the Siena's Stories series. The first book, The Dance of the Snow Tractors, was named a top book for children in the automobile category by Newsweek magazine.
