Love Loss and Life In Between By Suzanne Rogerson Narrated by: Sandie Keane Review: This is an anthology of short stories about life, death, love and everything in between. Not my usual choice for reading/listening - this collection of short stories was something different. I’m very glad that I took a chance on something new. I really enjoyed each story. They were like little windows in to different worlds - whole stories in their right but that let you build a world for the characters all of your own. I found myself creating pasts or futures for the characters. I would describe most of the stories as heartfelt, there was a sense of calm and comfort within them all. Catalyst had a much darker tone and was quite a contrast to the rest of the book. The other stories were much more gentle - Catalyst was much more psychological thriller. The narrator was very easy to listen to throughout all the stories. Her voice was almost therapeutic - I could feel myself relaxing as I listene

David’s Bin Day By Sue Wickstead Book Tour Organised by: Rachel’s Random Resources Review: This book is pure fun and joy. We loved the descriptions of the bin men with their bobble hats and happy chatter. This book reminded me of my own brother who wanted to be a bin man when he was little (although he never threw out my toys) . I am sure that there are many who will relate to the story. We really got caught up in David’s enthusiasm and his quest to find more rubbish (there was a lot of ‘oh no that’s not rubbish!’ from Little Bookworm as the story went on. An ideal book to introduce children to some people who help us and their jobs. We have not read any of Sue’s other books but I am keen to now and sense they will be well loved in my nursery class as well as at home.
